A long and narrow strip of land between the Andes Mountains and Pacific Ocean, Chile (once known as Tchili, meaning “snow”) is a country in South America bordered by Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. In 1541, Pedro de Validivia, a Spanish conquistador, founded Santiago the capital of Chile.
Today, Santiago is home to over 5 million people and boasts some of Chile’s most beautiful natural attractions including Torres del Paine and the southern Lake District where tourists and locals can go hiking or biking past lush forests and impressive mountains. Among the popular historical landmarks for tourists is Easter Island (Isla de Pascua), a World Heritage site which is famous for its monumental statues.

New Delhi is India’s capital city and has been the capital of many ancient Indian empires. Built in the 1920s, “new” Delhi is distinguished by its wide, tree-lined boulevards reminiscent of its colonial British roots, while the “old” Delhi sector is a street maze full of markets, historical architecture and monuments. New Delhi is also a booming financial marketplace, with large industries in information technology, telecommunications, tourism, banking and the hospitality sector. New Delhi lies in northern India in the Gangetic Plains and gets a good dousing every year between July and August during the infamous South Asian monsoons season.

We all know the feeling: you find the perfect flight online – great departure time and low price – and then you click the seating chart… only to find yourself facing a sea of dreaded middle seats. What to do, book the flight and plan to squeeze in, or start your search from scratch in hopes of finding a window or aisle?
Well, now you have another option! ExpertFlyer.com has just launched seat alerts: find your flight, create an alert, and you’ll be notified if a better seat opens up before you take off.

ExpertFlyer.com
According to the site, “You can see all of the seats in the cabin and select the exact seat you desire. ExpertFlyer will monitor your selected seat right up until the flight departs. If it becomes available you can change your seat when your Seat Alert arrives. Just contact your airline.” Pretty cool, huh? We have high hopes of never having to squeeze in again.
